Diary of a crazy person

The story of a woman with three daughters who falls in love with a man with three sons.... - oh, wait, that's the Brady Bunch! Sorry! I guess this is just the ramblings of a woman caught between sanity and chaos. Join me?

First, but certainly not the last!

Well, my baby has really grown! Here we are on the day of his First Communion! I cannot believe he has grown so much. We had a beautiful sunny day for it too. Gareth was so well behaved. He whispered in my ear that he was nervous, but excited. He really paid attention during his communion classes, as he knew the answers to the questions that Father asked. We had 15 for the celebration afterwards. Today was a big step in his little life. I am happy I was here to share it with him. Enjoy! (PS - Gareth is in the top left corner of the group picture!)

Presenting.......New Hair

Here is the first photos of the new hair. I am liking it very much now, after the initial "Holy shit what have I done!" feeling has warn off. It is a little shorter in the back than I am used to, but I am getting many compliments. They help, even if they are lying! I think it gives me a bit of a "Posh" look, don't you? Tomorrow I will have Jann Arden pics. Have no fear of that. I am also thinking of creating a retrospect of my hair, you know, through the years. Tune in later for that. Enjoy, and be good to each other. ~G~

Sarah's first Repatriation

This was a big deal to me. I wanted to be there when the plane brought the fallen soldiers in to CFB Trenton. There have been many before this "bunch" but for some reason, I felt the need to be there. I had wanted to bring Gareth, but he wanted to be at home, so I respect that. Sarah wanted to come, but I wasn't exactly sure if she knew what was going on. So we talked about it. At least she doesn't disagree with me, like my 8 year old son. I think that this is not our war, we shouldn't be there. He thinks we should help the people there, and then leave when the job is done. He actually suggested to me a "Trojan Horse" kind of plan. If only he had come. The Gov. General and the Minister of Defense was there. Sarah made a sign, with Grandma's help. We are so sorry it said. Media took photos and talked to us both. Sarah meant well, but she smiled brightly in the pics, not truly understanding the feeling of sorrow that hung in the air. I heard someone say "I don't think she understands...I don't think any of us really understand" How true. We stayed as long as we could, but it grew cold, and boring for Sarah, as she couldn't really see. As the second coffin was lifted from the plane, we payed our respects and left for the warmth of our home. I only then found out that Gareth would have the opportunity to see his first repatriation in a few days. 2 more Canadian soldiers were killed today. RIP

Someone call the nurse please!

I give up! I have had enough of being sick! If it isn't one thing, it's the other! Fever, cramps, aches, plugged nose, sore throat, itchy watery eyes. UNCLE I say! UNCLE! I give up! Right now, I just want someone to remove my nose and sinus' so that I can sleep - and while they are at it, could they please do the same with my mother? She and I have won the gold medal for synchronized nose blowing. We literally got this cold on Thursday evening together. It has been heck, but at least it was a long weekend, and David also had the kids for part of it. That gave us big relief.

Enough wining....I know.

Cori and Darren were down on Saturday. It was awesome. We played 3 games of "Life" and I didn't win at all. I think the others each won one, but in the real game, I'm doing okay! We played speed scrabble while "the men" watched the Toronto/Montreal game. Us girls almost got ulcers from listening to the yelling. Unfortunate that TO didn't secure the final playoff spot, but, they did beat the habs. That counts for something, doesn't it? Ah well.

The big bunny stopped by here. I have pictures but am too lazy to go upstairs and get them.
Paula's scrapbook weekend is coming up and I for one am looking forward to it. I always enjoy Wesley Acres.

Also is Croptopia (http://www.croptopia.com/) - see if you can find me in the group photo. Kind of like Where's Waldo, only I change my clothes daily!

Also, watch out for the newest addition to my family - beware - I have gone all "Angelina" on your butts! More info later!

Happy Easter Everyone!
