Busy weekend!

Hiya folks!
Lots to update you on today.

Had a great weekend out at Westley Acres with the S&S crowd! If you recall, the last scrapbooking retreat that I attended there I came down with the worst case of strep throat in history. I stayed in bed all weekend with fever and hardly got anything done! I more than made up for it! What an awesome time! I wore the crown a few times and managed to win a prize as well as make some new friends! Hi to all my girlies! Amy, Tiff and Myra - I want to do nasty things with ya! Leave my pickle alone! Ida and I gave each other expert advice and Paula just bugged me all weekend! (JK - loved it!) Jan and I were good roomies, and I think we taught Jordan a little too much! If you haven't had a chance to crop with the Scrapbooks & Smiles bunch, you don't know what you are missing.

Sarah had her recital on Saturday. What a good job she did! I cried, I was so proud of her. I am sure she felt awkward not being able to do a cartwheel with her class, but boy oh boy she got out there and strutted her stuff. And my friend's daughter - WOW! She also does Acro Jazz and had surgery to correct scoliosis in her back. They inserted a metal rod in her back. You would never know it as she leaps and cartwheels with the rest of them. Did I mention she cartwheels without touching the floor? Yup - she is not only an amazing dancer, but an awesome young woman as well.

Mom is in Ottawa enjoying some baby time. I will be joining her shortly as I am so very jealous. I miss them something awful! I never knew being an Aunt could feel so good! I will definitely be getting some lovin' straight from the twin oven!

Have a great week and stay warm with someone you love!
I'll leave you with some warm words.

ANNIE'S SONG (John Denver)
You fill up my senses like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime, like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert, like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses come fill me again.

Come let me love you, let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter, let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you, let me always be with you
Come let me love you, come love me again.

INSTRUMENTAL VERSE
...Let me give my life to you
Come let me love you, come love me again.

You fill up my senses like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime, like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert, like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses, come fill me again.

I'm gonna knock you out....

Well, I tried boxing and baseball today - on the wii that is. Baseball is fun and two people can play together, against each other. One pitches the other swings. Pretty cool. But the big whoo haw of the day was boxing! WOW! What a work out! I am not exaggerating. I was jabbing and dodging and kicking ass! I was so heated that I had mom put her hand on my back - yuck...wet! I was a doubter that a video game could give you exercise, but it does - it truly does!
I also like the little reminders to take a break and go out side!

Also, I did the fitness test and you will be happy to know that my fitness age today is 56! YIKES! I will try to see if my fitness gets better, I'd at least like to be in the 30's!

The kids love this thing and of course there were fights.... but all in all the day was good and there were no wii controllers in the TV. (I can totally see how that happens....)

Tomorrow is Monday and I am back at work.

God bless you all...
God bless Nintendo...

Wii are having so much fun!

Wow.
Is it warm in here or what?

Mom and I just spent 3 hours playing on the Nintendo wii and we got a little heated!
It was worth the wait! I got on the waiting list back in November and finally got the call today.

Wii started out by playing some of the sports games that come with it. Mom and I quickly found our favorites.

Golf and Bowling.

no... really!

Bowling we can do pretty well at, and golf, well, we are getting better. We actually think that maybe we might try REAL golf some day.

I tried my hand at tennis and found it difficult to keep up. You really move for that one. Boxing and Baseball - we are not brave enough yet....

THEN I rented 2 games for when the kids come home. Wii tried Smarty Pants - a triva game that is quite cool. I felt like I was on Jeopardy!!! You have to move and do things to get good scores and I kicked mom's ass, but it was her fault because she entered her age as 19, so they asked her questions a 19 year old should know! HAHAHAHAHAHA

I also rented a Mario one for the kids, mostly, but I have yet to try it.

So, I give our wii a big 2 tired thumbs up!

My arm is seriously sore.
seriously.

Oh my goodness....

Well, I have been negligent, haven't I?

Well, my last post was the day my niece and nephew were born, and life as I knew it after that has changed! They rule my world, along with Gareth and Sarah as well. So many things have happened.

Here is a few pics of my most recent adventure. Sleep Clinic.

They hooked me up to a bunch of electrodes and put me to bed. I was watched and listened too so it made being comfy a tad difficult. You couldn't scratch or fart or anything..... I barely slept.

Here they are...
I do have Sleep Apnea, and I am not happy about it. But, Darren and Cori tell me it will change my life for the better. We'll see.
Be good, and I will post again soon,
promise.
